After being cataloged by the press, diplomats and government officials in El Salvador as "Musical Genius", the young maestro "Talent Pride of Colombia" was the Guest Conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador for the concert in homage to the 70 years of unicef.
Over time, the name of the maestro Diego Barbosa-Vasquez begins to establish itself as a synonym for energy, vitality, knowledge and assurance of high artistic quality when a musical group is under his baton. That is why on this occasion the Maestro Barbosa-Vásquez conducted an event of huge international importance, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador offered a homage to the 70 anniversary of Unicef, with the not easy task of perform the 6th Symphony of Beethoven, better known as the "Pastoral", "is an extremely demanding piece where we see a little-known facet of the famous German composer, much more delicate and introspective but never loses its hallmark, here Beethoven tells with sounds the feelings when we are being in contact with nature". Moreover the famous Danzon No.2 of Arturo Marquez was the quota of Latin American music that reminds us the beautiful ballrooms in México where grandparents spent their afternoons among danzons and dancing. The program also included the horn concerto kv. 495 of Mozart, a piece that was performed by young and talented Uruguayan Rocio Britos.
This was the second visit of the Maestro Barbosa-Vasquez to El Salvador, two years ago the Maestro assumed his first invitation with much enthusiasm and dedication (See: Young Colombian Conductor amazes El Salvador) "was a wonderful experience, it's a great orchestra not only in its artistic level but above all in its warmth and friendliness, everyone, the Music Director, musicians, Administrative and Logistics are people admired for its simplicity and dedication to what they do".
On November 10th, the Colombian company AseSuiza bought again an entire concert of the Maestro, so this time the meeting was on November 11th at the Auditorium Fepade 8:00 pm (local time).
