There are many kinds of concerts — Educational, Family, Pops, Subscription, and Diplomatic.

I’ve had the joy of not only conducting them all, but also creating very special ones from The History of...™ to The Opera Camp™ (that can be accessed through @performingartslab Productions), concerts and programs specially designed to reach thousands and even received international recognition.

But Subscription and Diplomatic concerts — that’s where a REAL MAESTRO is truly in action and are the ones I enjoy THE MOST!!
They require every discipline: musical, cultural, artistic, and diplomatic. And when done right, they bring it all together — the energy of pop, the joy of family, the depth of education, and a deeply focused artistic vision — into one powerful cultural statement.

That’s exactly what’s happening with the Greeley Philharmonic (@gpo1911 ) this week. Together, we’re turning a SUBSCRIPTION Concert into a full cultural declaration:
- Every heritage belongs on the main stage.
- All stories, aesthetics, values, and cultures deserves to be broadcasted by high level performing arts institutions.
- Orchestras must serve their communities.

✨ Back at my alma mater (today with IU Alumni @iualumniassoc & @iugroupsaa ), and what a joy it is to be among the next generation of artists and arts leaders! There’s something truly special about seeing eager students ready to step into the future, curious, bold, and full of ideas. 🌟

I had the honor of sharing insights of the Performing Arts field as Panelist with the Groups Scholars Program 2025 cohort—not just as a conductor and artist, but also representing Performing Arts Laboratory (PAL @performingartslab ). At PAL, our mission is to empower all stakeholders in the performing arts—artists, administrators, organizations, and communities—so creativity, collaboration, and innovation can thrive sustainably. 🎼💡

This aligns deeply with my own mission: to develop sustainable relationships through the arts that connect people, inspire collaboration, and strengthen communities worldwide. Moments like these remind me why this work matters, and why empowering tomorrow’s leaders is at the heart of everything I do. 🌍
