The recording of the complete opera is now available, and through this link you can find excerpts from the Opera Buffa Signor Deluso under the baton of Maestro Diego Barbosa-Vásquez.
The opera was produced by the Taller de Ópera Corpas and the Orquesta de Cámara Juan N. Corpas in October 2014, within the framework of the festival “Ópera al Parque” of the Filarmónica de Bogotá. Its two performances received an enormous audience response and extraordinary reviews. The magnificent voices of the soloists and their energy, the sound of the orchestra, the unity of form and musical coherence achieved by Maestro Barbosa-Vásquez, and the entertaining staging led the audience to enjoy a captivating night of opera.
The young conductor, classified by Colfuturo as “Talento Orgullo de Colombia,” a graduate Conductor and Violist and fellow of the Global Leaders Program of the YOA (Orchestra of the Americas), and Artistic Director of the program Coros y Orquestas Escuela E&P, has been consolidating a distinguished career in the Colombian professional field, while also elevating the name of our country through his international appearances as a guest orchestral conductor.
The complete performance of the opera entirely from memory by Maestro Barbosa-Vásquez was also highlighted, a feat that greatly moved the general public and surprised knowledgeable attendees accustomed to seeing opera conductors always with their score, due to the high level of difficulty required by operatic conducting. The recording of the complete opera is now available through the contact information of Maestro Barbosa-Vásquez.
