Barbosa-Vásquez (Colombian) conducts APU Symphony Orchestra in California, USA

On Friday, Febrary 3 of 2017 the appointment will be at Munson Chapel (East Campus APU - California) where the colombian maestro Diego Barbosa-Vásquez will open the concert that starts the APU Symphony Orchestra 2017 season. This concert is maestro's debut with the orchestra of this prestigious university after having started his Master Degree in Opera and Orchestra Conducting as a scholarship holder student metored by M.M. Christopher Russell.


Referenced by the International Specialized Press as "Musical Genius" and "... synonymous of energy, vitality, knowledge and security of a high artistic quality ...” Diego is Artistic Director of Choirs and Orchestras E&P Program. Graduate from Global Leaders Program of YOA (Orchestra of the Americas), Current student as scholarship holder of M.M (Master in Music) in Opera and Orchestra Conducting at Azusa Pacific University (USA) and Maestro in Music graduated with honors, with Major in Conducting and Minors in Viola and Chamber Music from the Juan N. Corpas University Music School. ​


​Cataloged Cataloged by Colfuturo as “Talent Pride of Colombia”, Diego has been Guest Conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador, Caldas Symphony Orchestra (Colombia) and Choir and Founding Orchestra of Esperanza Azteca Program (México). Diego was Music and Artistic Director of Huila Philharmonic, Chief Conductor of E&P® Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Huila Conservatorie and Rock Symphony Orchestra. Chief Conductor of E&P Choirs of Cajicá, Colina and Aparecida; Coral Conductor at “Tocar y Luchar Cafam-Colombia” and Head of the Virrey Solís-E&P Conservatorie. Maestro Barbosa-Vásquez was Principal of Viola at Juan N. Corpas Symphony Orchestra, Colombia Joven Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Acordanza, Caldas Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the “Art and Opera for All Foundation”, Unimúsica Symphony Orchestra, Bogotá Symphony Orchestra FOSBO, and Scholarship holder and founder of Colombian Young Philharmonic (FJC).
